Terms of Service

Effective date: April 19, 2026

Acceptance

By installing ReturnLens on your Shopify store or signing in to the ReturnLens dashboard, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install the app or create an account.

Service description

ReturnLens reads order and return data from your connected Shopify store and produces return analytics, anomaly alerts, and AI-generated reduction suggestions. Delivery surfaces include an authenticated web dashboard and a weekly summary email.

Accounts & eligibility

  • You must own, or be an authorized operator of, the Shopify store you connect.
  • You must keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or of the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater.

Subscription & billing

ReturnLens offers tiered subscriptions described on the pricing page. Billing is handled by Creem, our payment processor. Subscriptions renew monthly unless cancelled. Refunds are issued within 7 days of the most recent charge, at our discretion, for merchants who can demonstrate a good-faith reason. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no prorated refund is issued for partial months.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the ReturnLens dashboard or marketing site using automated means beyond what a reasonable browser does.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of any ReturnLens component.
  • Connect a Shopify store you do not own or have explicit authorization to operate.
  • Use ReturnLens to process data you do not have a lawful basis to process under your applicable privacy regime.
  • Abuse rate limits, attempt to bypass authentication, or probe ReturnLens infrastructure for vulnerabilities without coordinated disclosure to the operator.
  • Resell or white-label the ReturnLens service to third parties without a written agreement.

Termination

You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the ReturnLens app from your Shopify store. Uninstall triggers the shop/redact mandatory compliance webhook from Shopify approximately 48 hours later, at which point all of your store data is cascade-deleted from our systems (see the Privacy Policy for the full cascade description). We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have materially breached these Terms or the Acceptable Use section above.

Disclaimer of warranties

The ReturnLens service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the analytics output is complete, accurate, or free of defects, and merchants remain solely responsible for business decisions made based on the data surfaced. ReturnLens is not a substitute for professional financial, legal, or operational advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReturnLens' aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the service shall not exceed the subscription fees you paid to ReturnLens in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. In no event shall ReturnLens be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement, or the breach, termination, or invalidity thereof, shall be finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) under the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules in force when the Notice of Arbitration is submitted. The seat of arbitration shall be Hong Kong. The language of arbitration shall be English. The tribunal shall consist of one arbitrator.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the dashboard and by email at least 14 days before taking effect.
